Google Introduces Doppl: A New App That Lets You Virtually Try On Outfits with AI

In its latest experiment under Google Labs, Google has launched Doppl, a cutting-edge mobile app designed to help users preview clothing styles on a lifelike, animated version of themselves. Aimed at making fashion discovery more personalized and immersive, Doppl allows you to visualize how various outfits might look on you using AI-generated visuals and ai generative tool.

Building on Google Shopping’s previous virtual try-on feature introduced in May—where users could upload a photo to see how clothing items might fit—Doppl takes things a step further. The app enables users to snap or upload any image of an outfit (from a store, a friend, or social media) and instantly try it on through a customized digital avatar. It even transforms still images into motion videos, offering a more realistic sense of how garments move and appear in real life.

You can save or share your favorite looks with others, making style exploration not just personal but also social. However, Google cautions that as an early-stage experimental project, Doppl may occasionally misrepresent fit or fabric details.

Doppl is now available for download in the U.S. on both iOS and Android. Feedback from users will help refine the app as Google continues to innovate in the AI-powered fashion space.
